This privacy policy is applicable to the FinPlan.ME app (hereinafter referred to as the "Application") for mobile devices, which was developed by BIIN Development (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Provider") as an Ad Supported service. This service is provided "AS IS".
What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?
User Provided Information: The Application does not require any registration or account creation. You can utilize all features immediately upon download without sharing your identity.
Offline Financial Journal: All data you enter (expenses, income, budgets, and goals) is stored locally on your device only. The Service Provider has no access to your data and does not store your records on external servers.
Document Scanning & OCR: The Application includes features to scan documents and perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR). This processing is performed on-device using Google ML Kit. Images used for scanning and the resulting text are processed locally and are not transmitted to the Service Provider's servers.
What information does the Application collect automatically?
To facilitate advertisements, in-app purchases, and core functionalities (like OCR), the Application utilizes third-party SDKs that may collect technical information automatically. This includes your device's unique ID, IP address, operating system, and technical identifiers such as the Advertising ID.
Does the Application use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies?
The Application uses on-device Machine Learning (Google ML Kit) for document scanning and text recognition (OCR). This technology runs locally on your hardware to ensure privacy and does not involve "Generative AI" or cloud-based data analysis of your financial habits.
Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?
The Service Provider does not sell or trade your data. Because the Application is offline-first, your journal entries are never transmitted to third parties. However, the Application utilizes essential third-party services that have their own Privacy Policies:
What is the data retention policy?
All financial records and scanned text are stored locally. This data remains on your device until you manually delete it or uninstall the Application. Automatically collected technical data used by third-party services is retained according to their respective policies, typically up to 24 months.
How is your information kept secure?
Since your data never leaves your device, its security depends on your mobile device's own protection (passcodes, biometrics, and encryption). The Service Provider does not maintain any database of your financial information.
How will you be informed of changes to this Privacy Policy?
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating this page. You are advised to consult this policy regularly.
How do you give your consent?
By using the Application, you consent to the processing of technical information (for ads, purchases, and ML-based features) as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Your financial data remains private and local.
